Answer #1

Correct answer is

2s,2px,2py,2pz.

Hybridization of CH4 is SP3.

When we talk about CH4,It is combination of 1C and 4H atoms. However to form this compound the central atom carbon has 4 valance electrons and obtain 4 electron from Hydrogen to complete the octate. When the electron are shared between carbon and hydrogen there is formation of covalent bonds.

Now coming to Hybridization of methane,The central atom carbon has SP3 hybridized. This is because

One 2S orbital and Three 2P orbitals in the valance shell of carbon combine to form four SP3 hybrid orbitals. The bond angle between H-C-H is 109.28

Hope the concept is clear and answer is helpful for you.
