Answer #1

Consider a combustion reaction, 2 C2H6 (g) + 7 O 2 (g) \rightarrow 4 CO 2 (g) + 6 H2O (g)

According to reaction, 4 mol CO 2 is produced from 2 mol C2H6 . Hence, moles of CO 2 produced from 5.55 mole ethane would be

5.55 mol C2H6 \times ( 4 mol CO 2 / 2 mol C2H6 ) = 11.1 mol CO 2

ANSWER : moles of CO 2 : 11.1 mol
