The given reaction is Bimolecular nucleophilic substitution (SN2) mechanism because N3- is a stronger nucleophile and DMSO is the polar aprotic solvent. In SN2 mechanism backside attack of nucleophile occurs on substrate through which configuration of products changes i.e. invert.

Therefore, option (a) is the answer.
