Since we have this propanoic acid with pka value of around 5 we can say.

Although it is a weak acid but to some extent it will try to disaciate into its constituent ions i.e C3H7O2- and H+ which is a property of an acid.

And the anionic form of the acid is known as its conjugate base according to bronsted acid base theory.

Hnece Acid is. C3H7O2H

And its conjugate base is C3H7O2-

Which will try to eaten up all the H+ ions from the solution to reverse the reaction.
