17)bioethanol is a fuel with high octane number. it is produced by fermentation process of grains and sugars. it can be used as a substitute for petrol. it is prepared chemically by the chemical reactio n of ethylene with steam. from biomass it is prepared by hydrolisis and sugar fermentation process. extraction of sugar from biomasss is carried out by acid hydrolysis and enzymatic hydrolysis. the jydrlysis process break down cellulosic part into sugar solution and it can be fermented to ethanol. fermentation reaction is carried out at 250-3000C. After fermentation it is subjected to fractional distillation process. since BP of ethanol is lower than water it can be condensed and seperated.
18) addition of ethsnol to gasoline increases the vapour pressure ofblends. vapour pressure is the measure of volatality. it is a critical factor in measuring the quality of start engines with fuel injection and also to determine evaporative emission. small conc: of highly volatile liquids can influence vapour pressure. its impact is reduced with increase in vapour/liquid ratio.mixture has vapour pressure higher than gasoline and alcohol alone.
19)solar radiation management involves injecting smaller particles that can reflect sun light to reduce the amount of solar radiation reching the earth.solar radiation management is utilised to bring green house gases emission under control. it helps in the removal of CO2..water cycle slows down under solar radiation management.

Can you please help me with the following three problems. My prof didn't explain them at all. Thank you! 1.X-ray radiation has frequencies from 3.0×1016 to 3.0×1019 Hz, whereas the frequency region for microwave radiation is 3.0×108 to 3.0×1011 Hz. We can say that: 1. The speed of X-ray radiation is higher than or lower than or the same as microwave radiation. 2. The wavelength of X-ray radiation is longer than or shorter than or the same as microwave radiation....
Could someone help me with this question please as I am kinda lost as in how to do these type of questions please explain each step a) Draw a diagram of a solar hot water system and discuss the functions of its [5 marks For the solar collector, analyse the solar radiation heat gain and heat losses through different modes of heat transfer. How is the heat transfer rate to the water per unit area of the collector calculated? b)...
Can anyone help me with this question? I am confused, please help me! Thanks. Light propagating in the glass n_1 = 1.50 wall of an aquarium tank strikes the interior edge of the wall with incidence angle 12.0 degree Part A What is the angle of refraction in the water (n = 1.333)?
I need help with question 1 and 2, can anyone help me please. 1. steel wire is used to attach a balloon on a solar panel boom so that the actuators can be tested. Actuators are the devices that re used to extend the panels from their slowed position during launch to their final extended on- orbit configuration. The balloon must be filled with Helium gas such that the weight of the panels is balanced. Solar panels and their booms...
Please anyone can help me with this probability question and please provide explanation. Thank you so much! (i) Consider two events A and B, with P(A) = 0.3, P(B) = 1. Compute P(A∩B), P(Ac ∩B), and P(A ∩ Bc) (where we denote by Ac = Ω \ A the complement of an event A). (ii) We now consider three independent events A, B, and C. Using the definition of inde- pendence, show that the two events Ac and Bc ∪...
