Solution-

Molarity = moles of solute / liters of solution

In our case, solute is calcium hydroxide,

Moles of calcium hydroxide = mass / molar mass of calcium hydroxide

Mass = 78.5 grams

Molar mass ≈ 74.1 g/mol

Moles = 78.5 / 74.1 = 1.06 moles

Volume = 500mL = 0.5 L

Molarity = 1.06/0.5 = 2.12 M
