For a gas phase reaction , aA+B=0C + dD

Kp  = [PC]c [PD ]d / [PA]a [PB] b

where PC , PD are the partial pressure of C and D at equilibrium

and PA , PB are the partial pressure of A and B at equilibrium

for reaction :

2SO2 (g) +   O2 (g) =  2 SO3 (g)

PSO2 = 8.07 atm

PO2 = 62.6 atm

P SO3  = 56.2 atm

hence , Kp = (56.2)2 / ( 8.07)2 (62.6)

= 0.7747 atm-1
