Question 16- Soaps. There are some Soaps which are used to kill bacteria, as they contain specific chemical compounds that can kill bacteria, such as triclosan. But most of the Soaps are not antibacterial. On the other hand, heat, chlorine, quats and biguianides are commonly used as antiseptics.

Question 17- the answer is microRNAs. They act by binding to mRNA and prevent their translation into proteins.

Question 18- most bacteria grow best at neutral pH (pH 7). Though there are many bacteria which can survive in acidic as well as alkaline environment (acidophilic and alkaliphilic), but mostly bacteria grow best at neutral pH. Therefore answer is option 1.
