1.The nictitating membrane of fetal pig is a transparent/translucent third eyelid across the eye used for protection and to moisten it while still maintaining visibility,while the nictitating membrane of frog is a semitranparent lid that covers the eye completely helping the frog see underwater and hide from predators.

2.The umblical cord carries oxygenated blood and nutrients from placenta to the fetus throughthe abdomen,where the navel forms.It also carries deoxygenated blood and waste products from fetus to placenta.

3.The epidermis is made up of keratinized,stratified squamous epithelium.It is made up of four or five layers of epithelial cells.It does not have any blood vessels in it.

4.Dermis is made of dense irregular connective tissue that houses blood vessels,hair follicles,sweat glands and other structures.

5.The arrector pilil muscle consists of a small band of smooth muscle that connects the hair follicle to the connective tissueof the basement membrane.It mediates thermoregulation.

6.The main function of subcutaneous fat is the storing of energy.It functions as the padding to protect the muscles and bones from the impact of hits or falls.

7.The sebaceous gland(exocrine) in the skin opens into hair follicle secretes sebum

8.Fetal pig consists of 5 vertebrae but in human it has only 3 vetebrae.

9.Heel bone is otherwise known as calcaneus.
