1. The independent variable is the volume of the microbial suspension which doesn't affect the rate of the fermentation process.

2. The control of the physical and chemical processes of fermentation is usually straightforward. The most important sensors for reliable fermentation control are used for chemical process control like pH and DO2 Probe.feed back control is used to measure the metabolic rate. The online sensors in situ are used for simple physiochemical measurements.

3.Types of carbohydrates,

Glucose- Monosaccharides

sucrose - Disaccharides

starch - Polysaccharides.

4. With a small increase in temperature, the cell respiration also increases but this has a limit. When the Temperature increases beyond the limit the motion of the particles also increases with results in the collision of substrates and the enzymes. The too high temperature will lead to the denaturing of the enzyme responsible for cell respiration and The reaction will become slower and stops.
