2) earthworms moves fast on rough surface and slow in smooth surface , bacause in rough surface higher traction which helps their body to grip the surface , while they do not get any grip in smooth surface hence it move slow in smooth surface.

3) The major functuons of goblet cells present in epidemal cells of earthworms is production of mucus , which forms a protective gel like layer over the surface epithlial cells and protectioin against bacterial invasion and also peotection from extreme environmental conditions.;
