Answer #1

Male reproductive system

  • Testes-they are a pair of sperm producing organs.
  • seminiferous tubule-It contain two types of cells, male germ cells andsertoli cells.during meiosis sertoli cells line the seminiferous tubule undergo differntiation and converted to sperm
  • Epididymis- it is highly convoluted duct behind the testis that connects testicle to vas deferens
  • ductus deferenes-it is a tiny muscular tube which carries sperm from epididymis to the ejaculatory duct
  • spermatic cord-it is acord like structure that runs from the deep inguinal ring down to each testicle
  • seminal vesicle-they are a pair of simple tubularglands posterioinferior to the urinary bladder.
  • prostate gland-it is a walnut sized gland located between bladder to secreate prostate fluid component of semen
  • corpus spongiosum-they are a mass of erectile tissue alongside the corpora cavernosa whichprevent urethra from pinching closed maintainig viable channel for ejaculation
  • corpora cavernosa-they are the two masses of erectile tissue forming bulk of clitoris.

Female reproductive system

  • ovaries-they are the female gonads which secrete hormones.protect eggs and release of eggs
  • ovarian follicles-it is a roughly spheroid cellular aggregation foun in ovaries which secretes hormone influences menstrual cycle
  • uterine tube-they are the structures which transport ova from ovary to uterus each month
  • uterus-structure where offspring are conceived in which they gestate before birth
  • cervix-it is a cylinder shaped neck of tissue to the uterus.
  • it is a muscular tube leading from external genitals to cervix of uterus.
  • vulva- external part of genitalia which protects sexual organs
  • mammary glands-it is an exocrine gland produces milk to feed young offspring.

Gamatogenesis

  • meiosis 1-production of four genetically haploid daughter cells from one diploid parent cell
  • meiosis 2-two diploid cells each split into two haploid cells
  • haploid-Cell or nucleus having single set of unpaired chromosomes
  • spermatogenesis- process in which haploid spermatozoa develop from germ cells in the seminiferous tubules of testes
  • oogenesis-it is the development of ovum

Stages of mitosis

  • prophase-first phase in which separates the duplicated genetic materialinto two daughter cells
  • metaphase- second stage in whichalignment of chromosomes in the equator of the cell before being separated to daughter cells
  • anaphase-replicated chromosomes are split and newly copied chromosome moved to opposite poles of the cell
  • telophase- final phase that separates duplicated genetic material into two identical daughter cells
