Answer #1

ANSWER: LYTIC CYCLE.

Bacteriophage follows either Lytic life cycle or lysogenic life cycle. Lytic life cycle of bacteriophage is such that once bacteriophage enters the host cell it takes over the host machinery and lead to destruction of host cell. Thus phage’s following Lytic cycle always kill the host cell and phage’s DNA or RNA does not get integrated with host cell (bacterial) chromosome.

Note: Lysogenic phages are the phages which infects bacteria and in this process the genetic material of bacteriophage stably integrates into the chromosome of the host bacterial cell.
