By using the formula-

CFU (ml) = number of colonies / dilution factor × volume (ml)

Given - number of colonies = 2500

Volume = 1 ml and TDF = 10-6

CFU (ml) = 2500 / 1 × 10-6 = 25 × 108  

So total number of colonies in original sample (before dilution) is 25 × 108.
