Prefixes and suffixes changes but the root word always have core meaning.

1. The latin root word for man is Hand, (male) in medical represents the genital anatomy of man, male based on male reproductive part. It can be easily remembered as 'hand'.

2. Femella, femila,female has its origin from latin which also represents woman. "Gynec" is medical it represents the female based on reproductive parts.

3. Heart - myo"cardi"tits - prefix "myo" represents muscle, root "card" represents heart, suffix "itits" inflammation.

4. Head - "cephal/o" representing head cephalalgia means pain in or near the head.

5. Chest - "thorac, thorax" part of mamalian body between neck and abdomen consist of ribs and breastbone representing chest.

6. Bone - "oste" e.g osteoporosis were osteo represents bone and porus in English means weak. Medical condition that weakens the bones.

7. Brain - "encephalo" ( e.g encephalitis means inflammation of brain).

8. Stomach - "gastro" e.g gastroenterologist the one who has knowledge of digestive system deals with medical conditions related to gastric tract.

9. Liver - " hepato" : hepatomegaly means enlargement of liver size. Hepato - liver, megaly - increase in size.

10. Gallbladder - "chol/e - gall - cyst/o - bladder/sac" : cholecystomy : surgical procedure were gallbladder is removed from body. Chole - gall - cyst - bladder - tomy -removal.

11. Mouth - "stomat" : represents oral cavity (stomatoplasty - operation of forming mouth were it is contracted or deformed(can be due to injury) ).

12. Tounge - "gloss-o " (glossology study of tounge for diagnosis of disease or to learn about its medical features).

13. Breast : "masto" : mastectomy (surgical removal of breast).

14. Muscle : "my/o ": myopathy ( greek myo - muscle - pathio - suffering) conditions were muscle fibres does not work properly reulting muscle weakness.

15. Nerve -" neuro ": neurology (neuro - nerve - logy -study; study of nervers) about their structure, functions amd actions.
