The document, "Our Bodies, Ourselves" presents a rather angry feminist perspective. Other documents, such as Audre Lorde's wrenching testimony about breast cancer, describe women's experiences in a largely male dominated medical world (this was the 1970s and 80s). In the book,reproductive 'our bodies, ourselves', author Judy Norsigian encourages woman to celebrate their sexuality including reproductive rights, lesbian sexuality, and sexual independence.

The condition now has definitely improved. But in the third world countries, in rural areas, still women are still in darkness. Few religions believe contraception to be offensive. Many women are forced to give multiple child births for male child demand, women are still treated at home during child birth. Women ignore themselves to las t stage during breast or ovarian cancer. Hygiene is ignored during menstruation. Women suffer from anaemia and malnutrition. Thus, there are lot more scope to raise awareness about women health specially in remote areas, removing blind belief and superstitions.
