Response Strategy to Corona:

• Novel infectious disease is an infectious disease that has newly emerged in the population.So a strategy needs to be devised which can help in reducing the morbidity and mortality first, and most importantly helps in the elimination of the infectious agent, thus eliminating the disease.
• The response strategy is based on several planning assumptions.

The following are the key features of the strategy devised by WHO against Corona virus (COVID-19):

• Limitation of human-to-human contact to prevent easy transmission of the virus

• Identification, isolation, and care for patients early

• Identify and reduce transmission from the animal source,if any speculated

• Address crucial unknowns regarding clinical severity, extent of transmission and infection, treatment options, and accelerate the development of diagnostics, therapeutics, and vaccines

• Communicate critical risk and event information to all communities, and counter misinformation

• Minimize social and economic impact through multisectoral partnerships.

These can be achieved by:

1.Rapidly establishing international coordination and operational support

2.Scaling up country readiness and response operations

3.Accelerating priority research and innovation
