Answer #1

Phylogeny is the evolutionary history of a single or group of organisms. It may be built by using morphological, biochemical, behavioral & molecular features of a group of organism. In building a tree we first organised the species into ancestral & derived traits. At first a lineage is drawn by identifying ancestral & derived traits, then the absence of certain features indicate ancestral & presence of it indicate derived traits. Now to start building the tree from the shared derived features, we need to look for the derived trait which is shared among the largest group of organisms. Based on this pattern we can able to draw the other lineages branching off with the presence or absence of certain characters or features.(Common Dragon, Asian Lung Dragon, European Decagon, Frost Dragon, Knucker Dragon, Tibetath Dragon, Lindworm Dragon) A ArrowhPhylogenetic tree is a hypothesis. It looks like the shape of a rooted tree with a phylogenetic network.
