In addition, blood spatter can provide valuable information about the progress of events as the crime was being committed. Knowledge about blood types helps in detecting the blood types of the victim and the criminal which can then be matched with a given number of suspects to narrow down the search. Blood types can also be used in establishing parent-offspring or relative relationship.
