Antiseptics are mainly used in hospitals where as disinfectant are mainly used in household.

Antiseptics kill microbes by a entering their lymphatic system whereas disinfectants kill microbes by preventing the formation of cell wall.

Antiseptic are not harmful to human being but disinfectants are harmful to human beings and animals.
