Living in dessicated environment, this adaptation is due to their amino acid composition that affects the ability of protein folding.

Endospores help bacteria survive chemical stresses,in aqueous environment too.

Glycocalyx protect bacteria from engulfment.Presence of slime layer and capsule surround the cells and keep it protected.

Bacteria colonize the plant surfaces and obtain nutrients. They enter through stomata, nectarthodes, hydathodes etc for acquisition of nutrients.
