b. DNP will make the ATP synthesis less efficient and energy produced from cellular respiration is lost as heat. Because of

    DNP uncouples the oxidative phosphorylation (process phosphorylation of ADP to form ATP) the ratio of ATP to ADP will

    decrease

c. Since energy production is more inefficient in DNP use, the body will increase fat metabolism to meet the energy

    requirements of the body. Fat metabolism will eventually result in body weight loss.
