NAD+ - Nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide

Nicotinamide is the chemical group active in this molecule. It is the water soluble amide form of vitamin B3. NADH is basically the reducing power of the cell and is involved in redox reactions. It plays the role of electron acceptor in the metabolic process.

Acetyi CoA - Acetyl Coenzyme A

Acetyl is the main chemical group active in the molecule which is oxidized for energy production. Beta-mercaptoethylamine group is part of Coenzyme A which is linked to the vitamin pantothenic acid. Acetyl CoA is involved in the link reaction during cellular respiration which forms a link between the Glycolysis and Kerb's cycle.
