Option 1 - Temperature
The membrane is composed of phospholipids that has a head outside and a tail inside. The tails are nothing but fatty acid chains and those are responsible for the fluidity of membrane. As the temperature decreases the fatty acid chains can't move properly and they become stiff so that the fluidity of membrane also decreases. Thus the decreased temperature causes the decrease in the membrane fluidity and membrane permeability.
Permeability decreases as ___decreases. temperature saturation of hydrocarbon tails length of hydrocarbon tails cholesterol content
In membrane proteins, fluidity is increased by increase in cholesterol content higher percentage of unsaturated fatty acids decrease in temperature integral proteins

The following data are for falling-head test performed at 25⁰C Temperature: Length of the soil sample = 40 cm Area of the soil sample = 78,54 cm2 Diameter of the standpipe = 1.1 cm At time t=0 head difference = 54 cm At time t=8 min, head difference = 22 cm a) Determine the permeability of the soil b) What was the head difference at t=4 min?
T/F (1) Additives added to ethanol will have the same effect on boiling point as the same amount of additives added to water Ethanol changes its solution boiling point with additive mass fraction of 0.15 more than water changes its boiling point with a mass fraction of 0.25 If the activity coefficient of solute A in a solution is equal to 1, A has little to no preference to other molecules around it in solution It is likely that flavors...
