Answer #1

4 ) Solution :

a )Chlorophyll is mainly a green color pigment which is responsible for the plants to appear in green color . Chlorophyll is mainly present in Chloroplast cell organel . Chlorophyll absorbs red light from the sun in long wavelength and blue color with short wavelength and reflects the green color . Chlorophyll A is the most abundant pigments in plants . Chlorophyll a absorbs light with wavelengths of 430nm(blue) and 662nm(red) .chlorophyll B has the highest absorption at 450 nm (blue) and 640 nm (red) in their spectrum.

b ) Chlorophyll plays a major role in photosynthesis by absorbing energy from light. During photosynthesis occurance in a chloroplast of a thin-walled mesophyll cell and a 4-carbon acid is handed off to a thick-walled bundle sheath cell where the Calvin cycle occurs in a chloroplast of that second cell. This protects the Calvin cycle from the effects of photorespiration.
