Answer #1

4. B

Plants two types of pigments, the primary pigments and the secondary pigments. Chlorophyll molecules are the primary pigments and are involved in photosynthesis Where are carotenes and xanthophylls are secondary pigments which are are also called as accessory pigments. They are not directly involved in photosynthesis but help to increase the efficiency of photosynthesis. They absorb light in the other regions of visible spectrum which is not absorbed by chlorophyll and then transfer the energy to chlorophyll molecules. They are also important in protecting chlorophyll molecules against pheophytinization due to high radiation of light.

5. C

The chlorophyll molecule is hydrophobic molecule. It is made up of a professor in ring and a phytynyl sidechain. The core is made up of magnesium Ion with is bonded coordinately to 4 nitrogen present in each of the ring.

6. D

During the process of photosynthesis, carbon dioxide is incorporated to form glucose and water is broken down in the presence of sunlight to form oxygen.

7. B

Kreb cycle, citric acid cycle and glycolysis participate in aerobic respiration for The breakdown of glucose molecule into carbon dioxide and water. But Calvin cycle is the part of photosynthesis in which glucose is synthesized using atmospheric carbon dioxide.
