Casparain strips are present inside the inner layer (endodermis) of the plant root, it is usually one cell layered throughout and it prevents excessive amount of soil solution to be uptaken from the soil at once and hence ensures that it must pass through a cell membrane before it enters into the vasculature of the plant.
