Answer #1

1.option B is the false statement.

Other statements are true. Angiosperms have reduced gametophyte. Angiospermae, the gametophytic phases are reduced to a few cells and are dependent on the sporophytic phase for their nutrition.Once pollination and fertilization occurs, the zygote is formed and the ovary begins to differentiate into fruit in angiosperms. And flowers are the reproductive organs.

Option b is false. Seed cones are not formed from ovary after fertilization in angiosperms. This is a characteristic of gymnosperms.

2.option c is the false statement.

The gametophytic prothallus of Lycopodium is monoecious(homothallic) i.e., male (antheridia) and female (archegonia) sex organs are developed on the same prothallus.

Other statements are true.

Lycopodium is a sporophytic plant and reproduces sexually. The plants are homosporous i.e., produces only one type of spores (without differentiation of mega- and microspores). These spores are produced in sporangia which, in turn, are produced on fertile leaves known as sporophylls.

PLEASE HELP WITH ALL QUESTIONS Which of the following statements is FALSE? Seeds include a source of nourishment of the developing embryo. A selective disadvantage of seeds is that the seed coat is highly vulnerable to invasion by fungi and bacteria. Most plants that produce seeds also produce nonflagellated sperm. Many seeds can remain dormant during long periods of drought or low temperatures. 5. In seed plants, fertilization can occur without the presence of water. 2 The world's tallest plants...
