Answer #1

Ans -

D- An increase in survival advantage provided by displaying spots.

In the image the population of insects is the same in the first generation and in the 10th generation. But there ate increased numver of insects with spots . This might be a trait for survival . This is an example of natural selection where there is a difference in the phenotyope which makes the insects adapt better to the surrounding by camouflaging and prevent predation by other organisms. This trait is inherited over generations for survival of the fittest in each generation.

This is similar to the Moth scenario. Where in preindustrialisation era white winged moth were common but following industrialisation soot deposited on tree barks which made the white winged moth more visibls and they became easy targets to oredation . So the moths evolved to have peppered wings which heloed them camouflage in teh surroundings . Thus helping in survival. This is anither example of natural selection.

If this helps please give it a positive rating, thank you!

Which of the following limits to natural selection hinders the adaptation of species to the new climate conditions? The developmental plans of plants and animals are too complex. They cannot cope with the warmer temperatures. Mutations happen so frequently that beneficial alleles change before natural selection can substantially increase their frequency Many species not have gene variants in their gene pool that are beneficial in higher temperatures.
