DNA that is transcriptionally active - (a) is more susceptible to DNase 1 digestion. When the DNA is transcriptionally active then chromatin stay in it's euchromatin state and DNase1 is more active in this part to cut the DNA.

- when DNA is tightly packed in solenoid arrangement then chromatin is in heterochromatin state and this is not transcriptionally active.

- unacetylated histones change euchromatin to heterochromatin which is not transcriptionally active.

- When the DNA is going to transcribe then it has loosen itself from the histone core protein that is the euchromatin but non transcribed DNA is highly condensed that is heterochromatin.

Option (a) is correct.
