Chemiosmotic therory given by Peter Mitchell suggested that once there is gradient of H+ ions across the membrane then ions move or diffuse from high concentration to low concentration and while flowing down the conc gradient it pass through H+pump that is ATP synthase which cause phosphorylation of ADP +Pi------> ATP. This is called chemiosmotic theory.
