Explanation :- Carbon fixation is the conversion of inorganic carbon to organic compound by living organisms.

The most important example is photosynthesis.

Photosynthesis divided into two parts i.e light reaction or primary photo chemical reaction which occur in grana of chloroplast and another is dark reaction or carbon fixation reaction which occur in stroma of chloroplast.

It is called carbon fixation because here glucose is synthesized from co2 by using ATP and the assimilatory power (NADPH2) generated in the light reaction.
