Answer-

According to the given question-

(1 a) Illinois greater prairie chicken or Tympanuchus cupido is  also called pinnated grouse or boomer, found in the great lake region of  Illinois state of united state of America and their population was rapidly decreases and reached near the extinction due to human activities such as hunting as well as due to their habitat loss. They generally consume fruits as well as seeds of agriculture but in the season of summer their diet are insects as well as small green plants. they also face problem with the rain and drought. The population of greater prairie chicken also decreases due to the several predators such as foxes, raptors, domestic dog, skunks, and cats.

So the most correct answer for the question is B. heavy predation by prairie foxes in that state due to relaxed hunting laws

(1 b) Natural selection is a process where the the phenotypic differences were observed over generations due to change in the heritable traits characteristic.

Genetic drift is defined as the change in the genotypic frequency of an organism due to disappearance of a particular type of genes due to random mating

founder effect is is defined as loss of variation in gene when a new population is isolated or separated from the whole population.

bottleneck effect is also a type of genetic drift where the population size decreases due to fire, flood, earthquake etc. due to which a large population was disappeared and very fer remain left.

So the correct answer fore the question is B. genetic drift - when a small group of individuals experiences a deviation from the expected inheritance pattern due to random events in mating.

A population of cheetahs was hunted to near extinction during the last three decades of the 19th century. The number of animals increased to pre-19th century levels due to their location being made off limits to hunters during the latter half of the 20th century. Albinism, which was previously rare in this population, is now 10-fold over the frequency observed prior to the near extinction event.
