Biology 1) which of the following are the correct 3 domains of life: a) prokarya, eukarya, planta b) eukarya, protista, anima

1. The three domains of life are Bacteria, archaea and eukarya. Both bacteria and archaea are prokaryotic in nature where eukarya is Eukaryotic in nature.

The difference between bacteria and archaea is that bacteria lives in moderate climatic condition where as archaea lives in extreme environmental condition.

2 and 3. The three most important ways by which bacteria shows genetic recombination are conjugation, transformation and transduction. Conjugation occurs by the transfer of genes from one bacterium to the other. Transformation occurs when a bacteria picks up naked DNA from the environment. Transduction occurs when a virus infects a bacterial cell and incorporate its genome into it.

4. Prokaryotic cell different from Eukaryotic cells in the absence of nuclear and other membrane bound organelles. Plasma membrane, DNA chromosomes and cytoplasm are present in both of them. Also both of them are having ribosomes. But the composition of ribosome differ.

5. Bacteria is the only organism on the planet which is most abundant. It is present everywhere, soil, water, air, food, inside human body, on the human body etc.

6. Halophiles are the organisms which can tolerate high salt concentration in the environment.

7. Photoautotrophs is the organism which can prepare its own food in the presence of Sunlight and photoheterotroph is an organism which requires sunlight but also rely on other organisms for Carbon requirement.

Please give a good rating.
