Kudzu is mainly native of subtropical and temperate regions of Asia, it grows very well under various environmental conditions, maximum growth occurs in mild winters (40-60°F), in summer temperatures rise above 80°F, and abundant rainfall (100+cm). Generally Kudzu can grow in nearly various type of soils e.g., acid soils, lime soils, lowlands with high water tables, and over heavy subsoil, and in winter where soil temperatures is above -25°F. Its root is large, suitable for survival in dry climates and drought hit areas. Perfect conditions for Kudzu growth are moist to well drained and acid to neutral soils (4.5-7.0 pH). Climate of Southeastern United States that is different from other part of United States provide all its environmental needs to grow and fluorish. Due to this reason Kudzu spread over the Southeastern United States.
