According to the new research from the Kaiser Permanente, scientist of Division of Research, a high doses of caffeine intake during the pregnancy, whether from tea, coffee, hot chocolate or caffeinated soda or can cause an increased threat of miscarriage The data of some pregnant women showed that the women who take 200 mg or high amount of caffeine daily may double their risk of miscarriage.

And the women who take less than 200 mg of caffeine daily had more than 40% increased miscarriage risk.

The drinking of large caffeine amounts does not come out to result in birth defects, but it may make it harder to get pregnant. It can also raise the risk of miscarriage or giving birth to a baby with low weight.

The preventive measure that must be taken by pregnant women are, First, they have to limit coffee to one or two cups per day. After that, they have to start mixing de-caffeinated coffee with regular coffee. And at last, they have to stop drinking caffeinated coffee.
