Hi! Welcome to HomeworkLib.

As we know ammonia is very harmful substance for our body.It is very toxic for brain and central nervous system.

It is converted to urea by a series of steps occuring in liver. When the liver is cirrhosed the normal architecture of liver is lost and most liver tissue is necrosed. This causes decreased conversion of ammonia into urea and gradually ammonia accumulates in blood and its level rises.
