A rancher in western Australia discovers that several of the bunnies in his rabbit herd are dwarfs, and he wants to eliminate this undesirable trait from the herd as rapidly as possible. Suppose that the rancher hires you as a genetic consultant to advise him on how to breed the dwarfism trait out of the herd. What crosses would you advise the rancher to conduct to ensure that the allele causing dwarfism is eliminated from the rabbit herd? Explain your logic and show your work if necessary.

I will suggest to choose only taller individual of rabbit for matting purpose, never with dwarf individual.

Now in tall case there could be either homozygous dominant genotype or heterozygous genotype.

If homozygous will be choosen for crossing than all progeny will be tall but if heterozygous choosen then it will be 3:1 ratio of tall:dwarf.

While dwarf individual can be removed from area.
