A point charge of 1.26x10^-10 C is mobed by an external agent through an electric field from point A at an electric potential of 6.32Volts to 12.4Volts. This particle begins and ends at rest. How much work was done by the agent?

Answer #1

Using work energy theorem ,

work done by agent + work done by Electric Field = Change in K.E.

W + qV = 0

W = -qV = - 1.26 x 10^-10 x (6.32 - 12.4) = 7.66 x 10^-10 J
