Question

I have an excel spreadsheet with 3columns filled as: column 1: time in sec

Column 2 : load in newtons

Column 3: position in mm

I imported the data to matlab

And need to use matlab to calculate the engineering stress and strain and true stress and strain

How do i use the imported spreadsheet data to calculate those

Pleasssee help

Note: each column has lots of data collection

load = data(:,2);
position = data(:,3);

Here I have provided the code for importing the data from your spread sheet. apply these variables to your formulas to find out the engineering stress and strain and true stress and strain.
