Ans 2a) The population growth curves are said to fluctuate because of the variability of the two population species. The two species does not remain constant through all times because of many factors. Thats why the population is ought to change with times i.e going to fluctuate.
b) Their numbers fluctuate , this depends on the availability of food for example if hares dont get grass, seeds and vegetables, their population is going to decline and because lynx feed on them, their non-availability will affect population of lynx as well. Due to this their population fluctuate.
3) As the graph is double Y-graph, the relationship will be in a way when one population is in scarce, other will be affected too If there are no lynx, hares will be more. If there are no hares, lynx can be less or unaffected as they start feeding on other animals to continue survival. If hares are more, lynx will also be more.
