Using a combination of extraction and enzymatic degradation techniques, Oswald Avery and colleagues demostrated that DNA was responsible for transforming Streptococcus pneumoniae from the avirulent type R strain to the virulent type S strain. Explain why this experiment was insufficient to demostrate that DNA molecules carry genetic information from generation to generation during normal inheritance.

Avery mecoldy maccarthy demonstrate by experiment said DNA is the genetic transformation , they didn't completely confirmed that DNA is genetic material because they use whole strain for the experiments in this evidence it is not enough to say DNA whole responsibility for inheritance, the nitrogen content from glycine and other components may reason for heritance
