Answer #1

2)OPTION A -Normal form violation.

Because there given the primary key as (CourseID , SemesterID) which means both will find the data from the database table but here in the above given case it is voilating the "SECOND NORMAL FORM" because the the coloumn COURSENAME is not depending on the entitre primary key , but it is depending on the part of the primary key which was "COURSEID".

So which is a partial dependency ..which is violating the 2nd NORMAL FORM.

3)OPTION B

Here given -

ISBN TITLE PUBLISHER ADDRESS

where ISBN is the primary key which helps to find the remaining data from other coloumns uniquley ..so it is in the form of sentence structure ..

4)There are actually two possibilities of outcomes for this question

CASE 1: OPTION A

Because as we know that 1st Normal form states that every cell in the table sholud be filled and no redundancy shold be there ..So since nothing was there in the EMPDEGREES column for the EMPNO-123. So it is violating the 1st normal form..because at least we sholud enter the value as "NULL" instead leaving it empty because sometimes it may leads to huge mess..

CASE2: OPTION C

So if take that empty cell as NULL value which was written in that..So in that case the was in normalized manner because for every value from the table can be taken and gathered by the primary key uniquly which was the EMPNUM..

This in turn means that ProductId can be considered as primary key for ProductDescription a) Write the tables b) Place the tables in 3rd...

The Primary Key of the table recording this information is SheepID+WeighingDate. The table has not been normalized beyond First Normal Form. That is, there are no ‘repeating groups’, but there may be Partial and Transitive Dependencies.
