Pipette Technique: What would happen if a student didn’t press all the way down to the second stop when they were dispensing the contents of their micropipette?

For proper dispension of solution from the Microtip using a micropipette, we have to ensure that we are not only pressing the first stop, we are also pressing the second stop. This is important because very small volume of solution is left in the Microtip after the first stop. Although this is a very small volume, but this small volume can make big difference in our results. If we do not dispense the solution completely, then the actual volume will be less than that of the required volume.

So it is very important to dispense all the solution present in the Microtek and ensure that second stop is also to be pressed.
