Hope you understood.
I have given all explanation and necessary calculations.
can you show step by step directions, im really confused, thank you! Extra Credit chapter 2...
4. What molar ratio of HPO4 2-to H2PO4-in solution would produce a pH of 7.0? Phosphoric acid (H3PO4), a triprotic acid, has 3 pKa values: 2.14, 6.86, and 12.4. Hint: Only one of the pKa values is relevant here. 5. For a weak acid with a pKaof 6.0, calculate the ratio of conjugate base to acid at a pH of 5.0. 6. Which of these compounds would be the best buffer at pH 5.0: formic acid (pKa 3.8), acetic acid...
im really confused can anyone tell me if i answered the highlighted question right?? thank you! Equations: pH = -log [H:04] POH --log [OH-] pH + POH = 14 K [H3O+] [OH') - 1x 10-14 Give two methods of determining the pH of a solution 1) pH meter 2) pH paper a) What is the pH of a 0.0012 M NaOH solution? Please help with solving Question 1 (A-C) Thank you! Unless otherwise specified in the problem, you may assume that all solutions are at 25°C. 1. 50.0 mL of a pH 6.00 carbonic acid buffer is titrated with 0.2857 M NaOH, requiring 17.47 mL to reach the second equivalence point. a. Calculate the molarity of carbonic acid and bicarbonate in the original buffer. Carbonic acid: Bicarbonate: b. Calculate the pH of the solution after a total of 100.0 mL of 0.2857...
For the preparation and standardization of NaOH with KHP im supposed to boil water for 1hr and 30 min to remove CO2....the problem is that if I don't boil it for that long and (30 min) b/c of not enough time but I put the water I boiled for 1/2 hr aproximately into a NaOH bottle with a CO2 absorber and stored it there for a few days. I would assume that I would have to boil the water again...but...
