Here White pungent hydrogen chloride gas will evolve which will make blue litmus into red.

Carbonate,CO32– form colorless, odorless gas (carbon dioxide) evolves.

Effervesence of colorless gas which is Carbon-di-oxide.

Sulfate, SO42– No observable reaction
