explain in details and calculations please
1)
Impulse
It is defined as the product of force and time
Let 'F' be the force acts on a body for a period of time 't' then
the impulse is given by
I = F * t
Momentum
It is defined as the product of mass and velocity
Let a body of mass 'm' moves with a velocity 'v' then the momentum is
p = m * v
2)
Given
mass of car is m = 1500 kg
initial velocity v1 = 20 m/s
After applying brakes final velocity v2 = 15 m/s
The time for which the force is applied is t = 5 s
Let 'F' be the total force
From impulse momentum theorem
Impulse = change in momentum
I = p2 - p1
F * t = (m * v2) - (m * v1)
F * t = m * (v2 - v1)
F * 5 = 1500 * (15 - 20)
F = - 1500 N
The negative sign says the applied force decreases the speed
The total force the car exerts onto the deer on impact
is 1500 N

Can you please explain to me how to draw a graph for both of
these I already did the motion diagrams
For the problem 4-7 below draw a sketch, a motion diagram, and graphs. 4. [pnt] While you are driving down a country road at dusk with a velocity of 22 m/s, a deer suddenly runs across the road in front of you. You apply the brakes, reducing your velocity to 7 m/s in 5 s as you avoid hitting...
Please explain to me in detail
1. A moving truck has momentum. If it moves four times as fast, its momentum is as much. 2. Two carts, one three times as heavy as the other, move down a hill at the same speed. Compared to the lighter cart, the momentum of the heavier cart is as much. 3. A bus is traveling at highway speeds when the momentum of an unlucky bug is suddenly changed as it splatters into the...
8:38 < Notes Question : 56 Please explain step by step to I understand. ED o physics, you ask one of the archers to shoot an arrow parallel to the ground. You find the arrow stuck in the ground 60 m away, making a 3.0° angle with the ground. How fast was the arrow shot? 55. || You're 6.0 m from one wall of the house seen in FIGURE P4.55. You want to toss a ball to your friend who...
