Data strategy is important as it provides the framework for using the data and organising it to increase its accuracy, define its use and managing the data to avoid any gaps or lapses. It provide guidelines for data management and the goals to achieve through gathering, organising and sharing of data for effective performance and usage across different business areas.

Data strategy is developed by identifying the uses for data, the different sources of data, defining processes for data management, structure and organisation of data for sharing and collaboration across different functions, forming rules and guidelines for monitoring the data and ensure its accuracy and security by the persons and teams with their roles in data strategy.

The use of digital dashboards in company/school are used to highlight the important information precisely so that it is effectively communicated like the agendas and the schedule that can be easily followed and information can be shared faster with more number of people.

The challenges in the use of Big data are to organise it for the purpose of the business and doing it skillfully and efficiently. The challenge is to have understanding by teams who can effectively manage and use it. Data storage is another challenge so that it is accessible to the relevant persons or teams. Deriving the desired results from the big data is also challenging as it may take time to classify and identify the relevant data. Big data is difficult to combine and merge if there is lack of experience and can also create security issues for the hardware and software systems.
