A positive and negative feedback system is two different reactions which is triggered by certain reactions that ends up in different products. They are very important to maintain a balance, incase of living organisms- to maintain homeostasis.
A positive feedback is when the product of a particular reaction increases the rate of the reaction and thus increasing the product itself. For ex- from the below description, lets take that of child birth. the contractions during child birth increase oxytoxin-- oxytoxin thereby increases more contractions which results in more secretion of oxytoxin.
Negative feedback is when the product stops the reaction. The cycle between the population of a prey and a predator are also examples of negative feedback. If the population of prey increases, predators eats more prey- decreasing the number of the prey. Decrease in prey decreases the population of predators due to less availability of its prey.

A cameria pointed on a television that is displaying a recursive image loop to show up on television | A toilets float valve turns on water flow when the reservoir levels off and shuts off water flow when the water rises above the sea level |
During childbirth, muscle contractions in the uterus causes the release of oxytoxin, which stimulates the muscles to contract in the uterus, causing the release of more oxytoxin | when a person s hypothalamus detects an increase in the body temperature, glands are stimulated to release more sweat |
when immune system protein binds to the pathogen, they release the signalsthat activate their own activity and the activity of other protein | If a prey populations shrinks, some predators starve and their number decreases.the resulting drop in predators allows more prey to survive |
Identify whether each scenario is an example of a positive feedback loop or a negative feedback...
I am very confused by these flow charts. They are both negative feedback loops, which I get, but I feel like I'm missing something with these charts. Can someone please explain for me? Activity 2 Negative feedback control of body temperature during heating. Given the information in the paragraph below, fill in the empty boxes with the appropriate item Ambient temperature above body temperature. Ambient and body temperature input to the preoptic and anterior hypothalamus originates from the cutaneous and...
