something you have

  • information that can be carried physically carried by you such as a OTP ( One Time Password), OTC ( One Time Code) etc. These are all tokens which usually expire after a period of time like in 2 minutes.

  • an information that is inside you like your thumb print, biometrics or iris

something you know

  • it is something which can be stored in memory and can be used when required like a password or a pin or a security question

something you do

  • proves identity by observing you actions which include gestures which are user specific. Example:
    Gestures to do a specific task in a Windows computer which could be move a mouse clicked from one position to another in order to achieve specific tasks such as taking screenshots.
